Annie Gorham

RN MSN APRN Certified Injector

Starting in healthcare care from the ground up, working as a CNA, years later getting my LPN, then BSN, and finally my MSN In Family Practice. Also myself struggling with weight gain, fatigue and feeling frustrated for years and finally being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, I spent a significant portion of the last 14 years learning the effects of nutrition and exercise on the body and trying to age gracefully. Working in critical care settings I have a deep respect for pharmaceuticals and their life saving measures. However, I believe we need to be more aware of our mental and physical wellness before pharmaceuticals are needed. Preventing chronic disease processes instead of treating them. I look forward to helping others discover how to make their bodies look and feel better with holistic care. We are focused on mental and physical wellness as we embark on this journey.

Elliott Alexander

Clinical Supervisor

A 1998 Alumnus of Lincoln University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, pursuing a career as a Supervisor at Lancaster County Youth Services, life took a different path. After nearly19 years in public service with the Kansas City Fire Department, knowing that helping people be the best version of themselves is clearly the path chosen for me. Combined with previous supervisor and managerial positions, and discovering my own journey of whole body wellness, I am here to help keep staff and clients organized and fully operational. I can share my own weight loss journey and discovery of the term insulin resistance. Life takes a toll on us all, it's important to give back where we can. As we grow we plan to bring many alternative health options and work closely with your regular primary care providers. As the clinical supervisor I will be taking an active role in coordinating cares for our clients

Rebecca Barton

RN MSN APRN Certified Injector

Hi! My name is Rebecca Barton and I’m a Nurse Practitioner injector at Graceful Changes Health and Wellness. I have my Bachelor’s of Science in a nursing from Missouri Western State University and my Master’s of Science in Nursing from Walden University. I am an American Nurses Credentialing Center board certified family nurse practitioner, and practice in my spare time in acute care internal medicine. However, I love being an esthetic nurse practitioner injector as I feel I’m able to tap into my more creative and artistic instinct and pay attention and help patients with the fine details that help them feel more confident in themselves. I’m passionate about education in esthetics so I can help my patients be completely involved and educated regarding the decisions they make for their treatment plans. Outside of work I enjoy my two boys age 18 and 10 who keep me busy as well as hiking, being on the lake, and reading anything I can get my hands on.

Brooke Epperson

BSN RN Certified Injector

Life brought me to my career in Emergency Nursing via the scenic route several years ago when my son was in High School. I found myself with not much of a purpose anymore. A friend suggested that maybe I should look into an Accelerated Nursing program as I already had a four year degree. Less than two years later, I graduated from William Jewell College with my BSN and began my career in Emergency Nursing. I have worked both Rural emergency departments and Level I Trauma Centers for the last 8 years. I have traveled to natural disasters as a Crisis Nurse and am currently working as an ED Travel Nurse in Overland Park, KS. Nursing has brought me much joy and equally as much heartache. I have watched life come into this world and I have watched as life went out of the eyes of those in my care. I have a passion for people and have found my purpose again. While Emergency Nursing will always be my first love, moonlighting as an injector feeds my creative soul and my love of all things beauty. I believe that happy girls are the most beautiful girls, and I look forward to helping all my clients feel beautiful and happy in their own skin.

Jaresa’s work with clients is based on the strengths-based perspective. She believes that all of us have the ability to persevere over any obstacle. We all have natural gifts, talents, and abilities that enable us to overcome. It is important that these strengths be recognized from the first session so that there is a foundation to build on. She believes that she has the ability to tap into these strengths and support her clients to see them as well.

The four pillars of her practice are self-care wellness, building self-love, self-confidence, and self-esteem. She wholeheartedly believes that the client’s happiness and mental wellness are the cornerstones for healthy relationships. She believes that we all have the insight to resolve any barriers in life. Many lives are touched in various ways by mental health concerns, from depression, anxiety, PTSD, suicide, and substance abuse. As we struggled through a global pandemic a consistent decline in mental and physical health was recognized. The realization that mental health matters has become painfully obvious. Resources are limited for treatment options with and without insurance coverage. There is an ugly stigma associated with seeking help for mental illness. Each of our staff members has spent years
working in critical care and emergency services, directly dealing with not only those that are mentally ill, but also seeing the affects on their families. Mental health directly affects physical health. Nutrition affects both mental and physical health. Our goals here are to optimize nutrition guidance, supplements and vitamin support. An annual fundraiser will be held during suicide prevention month, with a percentage of proceeds to be donated to one or multiple area AA chapters, Celebrate Recovery, and local suicide prevention. We strive to achieve optimal whole body wellness for our clients with all services provided, as well as plans to add additional services in the future.

At Graceful Changes Health & Wellness, your safety and health is our primary concern. Providing health-related care to others is what we have done for many years. It is our occupation and our lifestyle. Our team has fifty-plus years of experience (as EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners) in various settings such as pre-hospital care, critical care, emergency care, and urgent care. Our dedicated staff is highly trained and skilled in IV insertion, IV drip infusions, Intramuscular injections, and more. Our goal is to provide you with the best customer experience possible.

Away from work, we love to travel. We love to be outdoors and spend time with our families. Our faith in God is our foundation and our strength in everything we do. We want to do our part to bring health and healing “Living Water” into your life as well as others less fortunate.
