How long does it last?

Laser hair removal is a long-term solution that permanently disables the hair follicle. Hair growth can be stimulated by hormonal changes in which case you may need future touch-up sessions. Hormonal conditions like PCOS will affect results.

How many will I need?

Because the hair is always in different stages of its growth cycle, only a certain amount of hair can be removed at once. We recommend 8-12 sessions, spaced out every 6 weeks, for optimal long-term results.

What should I do before treatments?

  • Please shave the area to be treated before your appointment. If you are unable to shave well, we will shave you at your appointment for a $50 fee.
  • Do not pluck, wax, use a depilatory or undergo electrolysis in the areas you wish to treat for 6 weeks prior to your hair removal service.
  • Avoid any UV exposure to the areas to be treated for 4 weeks prior to treatment (even with SPF coverage).
  • Avoid self-tanning products for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
  • If you are using a retinol, you must stop 1 week prior to lasering your face.

What else do I need to know?

You should not receive this service is you are pregnant, breastfeeding or if you have a history of herpes simplex virus at the area to be treated. We cannot treat areas with tattoos or permanent make-up or areas with keloids. If you have taken Accutane in the last 6 months, please let us know as laser hair removal may not be right for you.
